Favorite band of the moment: SCREAMING TREES
They fucking rock. Them and the Melvins are probably the two most original bands to come out in the last 20 years, which is saying a lot. The Screaming Trees have such a great sound and Mark Lanegan is one of the best vocalists of all time. There's a real bluesy feel to their music, and yet at the same time it's punky (I love making up words). These guys should've gotten more recognition than they did. They easily beat out both Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam as far as sound goes, and they just kick more ass. If anyone out there has Kazaa, download any of their songs, and for those that don't, get your ass on www.amazon.com and BUY ALL THEIR CDS! If you're a fan of blues, punk, 70s hard rock, etc, you'll love these guys.
Anyways, enough praising of the Trees... Now about my day. We were supposed to have practice, but as usual, we can't get a hold of Doug. His ass is fired, it's a shame Cliff doesn't want to fire him just yet. There's another kid that wants to try out and I want him in the band. He's more our style. Doug writes some good songs, but they're not what I originally wanted to do. I wanted to do some hardcore shit, like Minor Threat or Husker Du. Anyways, I also can't find my friend Josh's cell phone number. I want to get in touch with him. He's taking me and Sara up to Harrisburg sometime to go to the best Goodwill in the state. What could be better than going to a thrift store with two of your best friends? And truth be told, I kinda like Sara. Yea, that kind of like. Anywho, I'm out. Laterz and such for now.
